What to Expect at a Service

We believe that the Bible teaches that the ministry of the church is to be carried out by all the members. Much of that is accomplished throughout the week, but Sundays are a unique time for believers to gather as a group to pray, learn and worship God together. They also provide an additional opportunity for believers to encourage each other.

Our Sunday morning services bring together various elements to give believers the opportunity to:

  • hear the teaching and preaching of God's Word.
  • sing songs and hymns of worship to God.
  • hear blessings of what God is doing in each others' lives.
  • learn about prayer requests for particular burdens in others' hearts.

Our meeting each week begins at 9:30am and is usually done between 12:00 and 12:15pm. (See our schedule page for more details on times.)

Because our goal is to seek God, not impress each other, we don't have any expectations about formality of dress. Some of our people will dress up, as it helps them express reverence when they come to worship God, but others prefer to dress more casually, recognizing that God's focus is on the heart. Whichever approach you choose, you'll be welcome among us.
